Hi Friends ~
Well, it certainly has been quite a while since I blogged . . . shame on me! I’m thrilled to say that the last couple of months have been a whirlwind of staging and design projects as well as the beginning of sailboat season (our summer passion) . It’s become clear that I need to do a little better with my time management skills to keep you all updated!
I’m happy to announce that Real Home by Jude is now providing vacant home staging with its own inventory! Having my own inventory provides my clients with a much more affordable solution as opposed to renting furniture for staging. It’s been a blast buying furniture (who doesn’t like to shop?) and being a part of making empty homes appealing to buyers. As deliveries have come in to my home my husband has been extremely patient and my neighbors have gotten a kick out of watching me get very familiar with putting furniture together in my garage and filling it up until stage day. They’ve also been very understanding on garbage day when our curb is filled with empty boxes. My only regret . . . I have not been taking pictures along the way!
Most thrilling has been the buyer response! The below property was on the market for 3 months without an offer. A week after staging multiple offers came in, a bidding war ensued and the property went for above list price!
And this adorable bungalow is due to hit the market any day!
Regarding owner occupied staging, I was thrilled to work with a client to prepare her home for the market. This client, a widow, was selling her home to make a life-changing move to North Carolina to be near her sisters. As she was overwhelmed with where to start, we worked together for a couple of weeks to shore things up. The house sold three days after it hit the market at full list price (with multiple buyers wanting to offer as well)! With this project in particular I felt that my services made a difference in my client’s life. Sooooo thankful I have the opportunity to do what I love AND make a difference!
Lastly on the thankful scale, I was honored to be featured in my County’s newspaper last week in the Small Business section. Mike Lammi, the reporter, perfectly captured my passion and I was shocked and surprised when I picked up the paper and saw my face on the front page!
